We will cruise towards and into the Portofino Marine Reserve.

Established in 1999, the Portofino Marine Reserve is amongst the most important areas for marine biodiversity conservation and re-generation. Spanning approximately 13 square kilometers, it is home to a rich variety of marine species, including vibrant coral reefs, rare fish, and protected marine flora.

Paraggi represents a unique bay in the area as its the only beach made up of natural sand. Over the years it has become home to some of the most popular beach & night clubs.

The Castle of Paraggi was constructed in the 15th Century as a defensive structure. Since its constuction its history has seen it all; including being occupied by Napoleon.

We will enter the Portofino harbour, having a unique perspective of the village as well as the beauties of Castello Brown, S. Giorgio Church & the world-famous “Piazzetta”.You can choose to step-off for a walk or stay onboard.

We will then stop for a swim in Baia Cannone: a tiny bay just outside the town.

With over 100 years of history, the Portofino Lighthouse is the a key landmark in the area.

With its 12 meters in height, it signals the top of the Portofino peninsula as well as the gateway to the Gulf of Tigullio.

As we cruise towards the San Fruttuoso Bay we will have the chance to stop by the Dolce & Gabbana villa at Spiaggia dell’Olivetta.

The Villa is the hotspot of VIP guests and contemporary gossip with celebrities such as Madonna, Armani & Dua Lipa making their apperance.

This narrow bay can only be reached by boat and boasts a 10th Century Benedictine Abbey which you can visit *.

The abbey was built between the 10th and the 12th Century and was later under the patronage of the Doria family who fortified and protected it.

*Ticket to the abbey is not included. A small tender will take you to land and is also excluded.

The Christ of the Abyss is a submerged bronze statue of Jesus Christ.

The original bronze statue was placed in San Fruttuoso in August 1954, at approximately 17 metres (56 ft) depth, and stands 2.5 metres (8 ft) tall.

As we cruise from S. Fruttuoso to the Paradise Gulf, we will pass by Cala del Oro – the only integral reserve area in the marine park.

As we reach Punta Chiappa – the entry to the Paradise Gulf – we will have an stunning view over the city of Genoa as well as the South of France in the distance.

Porto Pidocchio is a tiny harbour protected by the Punta Chiappa strip of land. It is home to some amazing shore-side restaurant and bars as well as being an active fishing port.
